Yes, NYC is the second week of September, Milan is the third week of September, and Paris is the first week of October – but Melbourne, Australia is showing spring fashions right now, because August is their March. It’s about sixty degrees down there right now, the end of their winter, and they are showing next spring’s looks so they can be shipped around the world when other countries ship their looks out, too.
And if Melbourne is any indicator, we will be seeing more orange, more purple, and a lot of violet – and very puffy sleeves, like we’re starting to see in the fall clothes.
We also hear metallics will carry over from the fall to spring 2010.
