Cox's Bazar on top of list of natural wondersCox's Bazar sea beach yesterday scored top position in group 'g' in the ongoing competition of selecting world's seven natural wonders.
The success came following massive publicity made by Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) at home and abroad as per directives of the government and unstinting support by the people of all strata, a BPC press release said.
BPC Chairman Shafiq Alam Mehedi congratulated all for this succcess and urged the countrymen to continue voting through Internet to keep Cox's Bazar at the top of the list.
Chittagong is the biggest seaport and second largest town in Bangladesh situated near the Bay of Bengal. It is 264 km away east of Dhaka, famous for hill areas, natural beauty and for the seashore. The modern Cox's Bazar derives its name from Captain Cox (died 1798),an army officer serving in British India.

St. Martin is the most beautiful and demandable tourist destination island in Bangladesh. It's a very small island, totally 0.8 sp km and appx. 15 km long. It's the only coral island of Bangladesh. Totaly white sandy beach, deep blue water, count less cocunat tree, dry fresh prosses center and lots of attaractions are awiting to receive you. It's is eastern-southern part of Bangladesh and last land of Bangladesh in southern side. It is 530 kilometres from Dhaka.Chhera Dip is a small Island which detached from main island during high tide, where living corals can be seen under transparent water. Under water view of Chhera Dip is exceptional.
Trip to Saint Martin : Anyone can go to there by A/C Non-A/C bus from Dhaka to Teknaf(10hours journey). Then Teknaf to Saint Martin by Vassal (2hours journey). There are three company run three vassal to Saint Martin. All vassal dearture at same time. From Tekhnaf dearture time is 9.30am and from Saint Martin 3.0pm.Accommodation : There is enough good quality resorts in saint martin like Hotel Abokash, Keari Resort, Saint Martin Resort. Also have some coteg.
